Briefly introducing pin gage Pin gages, also known as plug gages, manufactured with a specific size and durable materials, are used to test hole sizes, especially small holes and to verify the diameter of holes and slots. They are used to quickly determine whether hole sizes are within certain tolerance or not. Moreover, they’re used as test bars for geometric deviation measurement. They're commonly used in combination with go/no-go pin gage handles to produce a "Go-No Go" gage that quickly qualifies a bored hole.
